Stitch & Print have scooped a prestigious award at the 2013 Printwear & Promotion “Live” show held at the NEC, Birmingham.
Their exclusive T-Shirt design, which is an image of Kurt Cobain, the deceased front man of grunge legends Nirvana, took the award in the “Best Transfer Print” category. The award was presented to Director Richard Mattinson by Printwear & Promotion magazine editor Debbie Eales during the opening day of the show 24th February.
The design was produced for exclusive supply by the company on their range of printed T-Shirts & hoodies. When the design was complete a version was produced specially for the competition.
It’s been an exciting project; The image was specifically designed for use with a new production process Stitch & Print had bought. The design is in an art style known as digitial circulism where the solid image is broken up to thousands of components. This gives a far softer feel to the transfer than is usual.
